Hollywood actors Jackie Earle Haley, Jennifer Carpenter and Anson Mount are set to star in The Evil Within, Bethesda Softworks and Tango Gameworks have announced.
Academy Award nominee Jackie Earle Haley lends his voice to The Evil Within’s main antagonist, Ruvik. Anson Mount, best known for his role as Cullen Bohannon in AMC’s Hell on Wheels, takes on the role of the player controlled veteran police detective Sebastian Castellanos.
Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter plays Juli Kidman, Sebastian’s Junior Detective partner. Recently announced DLC will allow players to experience the game from Kidman’s perspective.
“One of the most crucial elements to any successful survival horror game is the setting and sound, which includes the depth and authenticity of the voice acting,” said studio head Shinji Mikami. “We brought together a great cast of experienced actors to help ensure that players really believe our characters’ emotions and the tension they feel in every scene.”
The Evil Within launches October 17 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
