Want to learn about crossplay in The Day Before? The survival MMO from developer Fntastic is nearly here, with trailers and updates getting players excited for its release.

With online PvP and cooperative elements, players wonder if they can share this experience with friends across platforms. Before The Day Before release date, read up on all the essential information on the game. Note that securing a The Day Before pre-order isn’t straightforward.

Will The Day Before have crossplay and cross-platform support

At the moment, The Day Before does not offer crossplay support as it’s only releasing on PC this December. There’s no word on cross-platform support either. While the developers have mentioned a console release later, there’s no confirmed release date. Expect an Xbox Series X|S and PS5 port later on.

As for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, The Day Before might not arrive on last-gen consoles as it’s an Unreal Engine 5 title focused on gorgeous visuals. Its trailers serve as a great showcase for a post-pandemic America. You’ll have to be wary though. Enemy players and hordes of infected foes await at every turn. The game lets you leave the city and explore the countryside to find a variety of locales and threats.

Combat itself will be a big focus of the game. A customization system will let you tinker with guns and gear for the perfect fit. Cars can also be purchased and customized, letting you explore the world at your own pace. But note that cars and guns create noise that can attract hordes of enemies towards you. It’ll be interesting to see this dynamic play out in a shared world.

That covers crossplay support in The Day Before. With no evidence of a comprehensive console port, expect PC players to play among themselves when the game launches on December 7, 2023. Considering the game’s strong visuals, expect it to have some fairly high system requirements.
