A number of Tesco stores have been caught selling Square Enix’s Tomb Raider today, a day earlier than the March 5 street date, reports MCV.

Although no specific stores have been mentioned, MCV itself and several of its readers have confirmed the title has been on sale – some even picking it up as early as Saturday.

Tesco is asking a highly competitive £32 for the new release.

Those thinking of heading down to Tesco tonight may, however, have to wait until tomorrow to pick up a copy, with Tesco games buying manager Jon Moss telling MCV that Tomb Raider will be removed from shelves until its official street date.

“We take any street date break extremely seriously and are in the process of contacting stores to reiterate this message and ensure the product is taken off sale until midnight,” said Moss.
