Images from the Evolution Championship Series (EVO) of Tekken 8 have surfaced online and appear to confirm previously reported leaks relating to the game’s roster. The images in question, which were allegedly taken at EVO 2023, show the character Steve as well as other characters supposedly from the game’s roster.

Taking to Twitter, user Moonsault Slayer posted the below images saying, “Steve Fox in-game UI leaked & matches the Tekken 8 roster leak.” The roster leak mentioned refers to a previous leak that was reported late last month which appeared to reveal a partial roster for the upcoming fighting game. The leak, which was posted following the Tekken 8 closed network test on Steam claims the game will include a number of characters including Shaheen, Raven, Zafina, Yoshimitsu, Steve and Alisa.

During the initial leak, Reddit user u/Trem45 posted the leaked images from a Tekken community Discord noting, “Keep in mind that this is very unlikely to be the full roster as there are no series staples like Kuma which have been in every game thus far.” They continued, “The fact that the devs have already stated that the base roster will be way bigger than Tekken 7 and current competition, [means] these are probably only the characters that were tested in this build.”

This follows another recent leak which claims Bandai Namco accidentally leaked two upcoming Tekken 8 characters early via their European website. The leak included a new character known as Azucena and series veteran Raven.

The eighth entry in the mainline Tekken series was announced during a PlayStation State of Play conference in 2022. The Tekken 8 release date has not been confirmed yet but it is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC via Steam.

In the lead-up to Tekken 8 be sure to brush up on all the confirmed fighters set to appear in Tekken 8. In other Tekken 8 news, Tekken 8 director promises crossplay and “a lot more” characters than Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 adds Asuka and Leroy to the upcoming beat-em-up’s roster.
