Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Tekken 7 that provides a greater insight into the upcoming fighter’s backstory.

According to the trailer, Tekken 7 will conclude the long-running Mishima Saga with many of the Mishima family making an appearance throughout the video, including Kazuya, Heihachi, Jinpachi and close friend Wang Jinrei.

It is Kazuya’s mother Kazumi who features most prominently, narrating the trailer. In a few frames, we see a glimpse of her devil form through Kazuya’s eyes after she confirms it is through her bloodline that the Mishima descendents are able to transform into supernatural beings.

Kazumi affirms it is her responsibility to stop Heihachi once and for all and, seeing as this is promoted as the closing chapter of the Mishima Saga, it can be assumed that Kazumi could be one of the new playable characters, in devil or human form.

No consoles or release date were listed in the trailer.
