Bandai Namco Games has announced that Tekken 7 has sold three million copies worldwide since its launch in summer 2017.

Writing on Twitter, series overlord Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that the celebrated scrapper reached the milestone before passing its one-year anniversary in June. The venerable fighting franchise has now sold over 47 million copies worldwide since its inception way back in 1994.

Tekken 7 recently kicked off its second season of content, bringing with it balance changes to all characters, a new Wall Bound mechanic, plus new characters including Anna and Lei.

Bamco is still keeping quiet about the remaining DLC characters for Tekken 7, though we know that Negan from The Walking Dead will be one of them. Personally, I'd like to see someone like Armor King and Julia Chang join the roster in the near future.
