Speaking to the Japanese publication IT Media, Harada has revealed possible plans to make use of the PlayStation 3’s motion sensing controller in Tekken 6. One use could see players shaking the controller in order to break free from a stranglehold manoeuvre. This is purely an idea at this stage, as Harada didn’t confirm that such functionality would definitely be included in the final game.

Tekken 6 has been taking a bit of flak recently, mainly due to its less than impressive appearance at E3. According to Harada, the characters seen in the trailer are not final, and are still being developed. It had been thought that the game would be playable at E3, with it likely to launch alongside the console. After its low key presence at E3, though, the game’s presence at the PlayStation 3 launch is in doubt.
