Nintendo has unleashed some new Super Mario Odyssey screenshots on the game’s official Japanese Twitter account. They show the Luncheon Kingdom area, with Mario in action.
In the first screenshot we see Mario in his chef’s costume, which we would assume grants him access to certain areas along with unique abilities. Interestingly, the other screenshot appears to show the game has at least one section which is an 8-bit styled platforming section.
There is also a third screenshot, that shows what can only be described as a giant food mountain. Delicious, eh?
The game’s Twitter account has been regularly posting gifs and screenshots following the game’s unveiling earlier this year. It’s definitely something to keep an eye on. Super Mario Odyssey on Nintendo Switch is due to release on October 27, 2017.
