Speaking at a after hours press event, Miyamoto took part in a Q&A session during which he suggested that Super Mario Galaxy could feature support for up to four players.
Miyamoto is currently looking into ways for one player to control Mario, with up to three other players controlling some other aspect of the game. What the other players would be doing exactly, he’s still working on, but a mode in which the other players attempt to impede the plumber’s progress is one such idea.
Support for two players is, however, a cert, with Nintendo having already officially confirmed the feature.
