Japanese video game magazine Famitsu reports that the highly anticipated Super Mario Galaxy won’t be released in Japan until October, casting doubts that the game will be localised in time for release in North America and Europe before the year end.

It’s typical of Nintendo releases to have several months between each territory – Europe usually the last to get the game – meaning it could be early in 2008 before North America and Europe get their hands on Mario’s latest adventure.

Famitsu also reports that the Wii Health Pack is scheduled for a Japanese release in July, although the magazine doesn’t even list Metroid Prime 3.
