There have been plenty of Xbox controllers over the last few months including the exclusive Forza Horizon 5 controller and more recently the Starfield-themed controller. However, according to a new leak, it looks like there’s set to be another Xbox controller making its way to the market at the beginning of next month called Stormcloud Vapor.

According to Dealabs contributor billbil-kun who has a reliable track record when it comes to leaks, the latest Xbox Series controller, previously referred to as Jemez will be called Stormcloud Vapor and will release on August 8, 2023. Billbil-kun also revealed that after retrieving the prices for the controller in both France and the United States the controller is rumoured to retail at €69.99/US$69.99.

Dealabs speculates that the control is linked to the upcoming release of Forza Motorsport and might be a limited-edition Forza Motorsport controller. However, given the distance between the controller’s supposed release and Forza Motorsport’s release over two months later on October 10, 2023, it’s very possible that the rumoured Stormcloud Vapor controller has nothing to do with the upcoming racing title.

Alongside this, billbil-kun also noted that a contradicting point to this speculation might be down to the controller’s pricing. While the Forza Horizon 5 controller and the rumoured Stormcloud Vapor controller share the same price in Europe this cannot be said for the United States. The Forza Horizon 5 controller was originally released for US$74.99 and if the rumours are to be believed this upcoming controller will retail for $5 less than its Forza Horizon counterpart.

If this leak turns out to be true Xbox will have released seven controllers this year with the most recent being the official Starfield-themed Xbox Series controller. In other gaming news, Mortal Kombat 1 Omni-Man will be voiced by J.K. Simmons and BattleBit Remastered patch notes add new game mode today – and it’s a classic.
