It won’t just be cut-price games, either. According to the Steam website, you’ll be able to head to the Points Shop to claim free stickers throughout the sale. It’ll be live at store.steampowered.com.
What Time Does the Steam Winter Sale start?
Not only do we know when the Steam Winter Sale begins, we also know what time it is set to start.
The Steam Winter Sale start time is:
- 10AM PT / 1PM ET – for those in United States
- 6PM GMT – for those in the United Kingdom
All this information and more can be found on the Steam website.
When Does the Steam Winter Sale End?
The Steam Winter Sale will end on the 5th of January 2023. The sale will last for a total of two weeks, so if you’re stewing on a decision you will have a little while to commit to your decision.
That gives you plenty of time to shop around. Remember, if you buy a game and don’t like it, so long as you haven’t played it, you have 14 days to refund it on Steam.
Remember, the yearly Lunar New Year sale on Steam will not be happening in 2023 – so you’ll likely have to wait until around March time for next round of significant discounts.
What sort of games will get discounts?
Now, this is hard to know exactly, but looking at last year’s Steam Winter sale, there will certainly be a lot of varied offers. Last year, we saw the previous iteration of that year’s Call of Duty (WWII) get a discount, Halo: The Master Chief Collection saw 50% slashed of its price, while the brilliant Half Life: Alyx also went down to half price.
While we don’t know exactly what games will be on sale, if last year’s is anything to go buy, expect to see a nice mix of discounts across mainstream titles and VR games.
