Before the exhibit begins, we already know some of the biggest games coming out very soon thanks to the upcoming games 2024 release schedule. PS5 fans can get early access to Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League right now, meanwhile, Persona 3 Reload becomes available on February 2nd. The PS5 console exclusive Helldivers 2 lands on February 8th, and then the massive Final Fantasy VII Rebirth falls on February 29th.

While all of the games mentioned above are huge, the PlayStation State of Play 2024 showcase will exhibit even more. And, if the leaks are right, there are some great surprises in store.

Confirmed games

The only confirmed games from Sony are ‘extended looks at Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin’. Both of these games are huge upcoming PS5 exclusives. Rise of the Ronin is scheduled for release on March 8th, meanwhile, Stellar Blade is coming out sometime in 2024. It seems likely we will get a release date for the sci-fi action RPG being developed by Korean studio, Shift Up.

State of Play January 2024 leaks

While Sony has only confirmed Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin for the State of Play 2024 showcase this January, they have also confirmed that there will be more than 15 games exhibited. Sony hasn’t pulled the curtain aside on any of the other games, but below is a leaked list:

  • Death Stranding 2
  •  Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
  •  Sonic Generations Remaster
  •  Silent Hill 2
  •  New Metro game Judas
  •  Until Dawn Remaster

The above leaked list comes courtesy of XboxEra co-founder, Shpeshal_Nick, on Twitter. None of the above are officially happening, but XboxEra’s Nick did leak the January 31st date before Sony’s confirmation.

In other gaming news, the next Fortnite live event for Chapter 5 may come sooner than many of us think.
