While Starfield’s launch has seen plenty of incredible ship designs already, one intrepid player has gone for an incredibly practical, but no less ingenious design.

The user, who goes by the name of Morfalath posted their creation on the Starfield subreddit, calling it the ‘unbeatable ship’ as, according to them, it cannot actually be hit by weapons shot by AI spacecraft. He claims that if the ship is attacked, the shots just go straight through the middle, making this a perfect craft for exploring dangerous systems and going into hostile territory without fear that you’ll end up blown up in the cold blackness of space. For that reason, it’s an easy inclusion on our list of the Starfield best ship designs we’ve found so far.

Morfalath would later update fans with how it looks in game later in the thread, and we have to admit it’s probably not going to win many aesthetic prizes as it looks like a shipping container yard. It’s a big build too, they revealed. “Yes, it’s much bigger than it looks in the builder, it is actually max size on length, width and height.”

The community has discovered that the trick, it seems, is to try and ensure there’s as little in the centre of your builds as possible when making your ship. So presumably we can expect more of these sorts of designs soon to take advantage of this fact – at least unless Bethesda decide to patch this little quirk out.
