Aspyr has announced they’re bringing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords to the Nintendo Switch next month.

The Star Wars remaster experts are bringing the RPG sequel to Nintendo’s system just over six months after they gave a similar treatment to the first game. Just like that one, this new version will include HD cinematics, textures and UI to bring it up to date with the modern screen of the Switch.

In case you’re unfamiliar, the sequel doesn’t require you to have played the first game, as it’s standalone. However, The Sith Lords will be available in a bundle with the first if you do want to catch up. You’ll have to make tough decisions in this RPG as you choose which side of the Force to hang your lightsaber. There’s three Jedi classes, plenty of Force powers and of course a new crew of squadmates to accompany you.

As an extra treat, this release will also include a collection of new content called The Sith Lords Restored Content. This DLC will include new crew dialogue and interactions, a new revamped ending and a bonus mission with everyone’s favourite murder-bot HK-47. That’ll be available as a free DLC post-launch, although a specific date hasn’t been given.

For now you can check out the trailer below or our review of the original release just over here. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords arrives on Nintendo Switch on June 8. Hopefully it might keep you busy as we await more news on the upcoming Knights of the Old Republic Remake on PlayStation 5.
