The original version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is heading to the Nintendo Switch this November.

While it’s not to be confused with the recently announced remake, Aspyr are behind this version too. They’ve taken the 2003 original by Bioware and given it a spit and polish for Nintendo’s hardware.

If you’ve never played it before, the story is set four thousand years before the Galactic Empire. Following the slaying of hundreds of Jedi Knights by the Sith, you wake up on a Republic ship with no memory. The ship also happens to be under attack by the forces of the sinister Darth Malak.

You’ll harness the power of the Force, getting to play with over 40 possible abilities. And of course, you’ll even get to wield your own lightsaber over the course of the game. You’ll travel between eight iconic Star Wars worlds including Tatoonie and make a party of Wookies, droids and more.

The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake was announced earlier this month. It’ll be a PlayStation 5 and PC exclusive with “modern tech, features, visuals and more” and will see Aspyr teaming with Lucasfilm Games.

The classic version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on the Nintendo Switch will arrive on November 5.
