Star Wars Battlefront’s first premium expansion pack ‘Outer Rim’ will release to Season Pass holders next Tuesday, March 22, EA has confirmed.
The DLC will be available to everybody else two weeks later, presumably on Tuesday, April 5. A standalone price has yet to be announced.
Outer Rim introduces four brand new maps set on Sullust and Tatooine, a new Extraction mode that tasks players with extracting resources to their transport ship before time expires, additional weapons and Star Cards, plus two new heroes: Greedo and Nien Nunb.
The DLC launches alongside a new Hutt Contracts feature which appears to let players unlock weapons and Star Cards by completing challenges, rather than spending credits. Examples of Hutt Contracts challenges available at launch include ‘Use 20 Focus Fire Charges’ and ‘Get 40 Kills With The CA-87’.
Hutt Contracts will be available to all players for free regardless of whether or not they purchase Outer Rim. You can find out more about them by heading to 01:20:00 in this LevelCap livestream.
