Star Wars Battlefront has become the 4th fastest-selling game of 2015, storming to the top of the UK video game charts.

Physical week one sales of the shooter trailed only behind FIFA 16, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Fallout 4, outselling 2015’s earlier record holders Batman: Arkham Knight, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Battlefield Hardline.

It was also the fastest-selling game based on the Star Wars IP, selling 117% more units during its first week than previous best-seller Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

ChartTrack also notes that Battlefront has become the fastest-selling online-only PS4 game, beating the record previously set by Activision’s Destiny.

Total sales figures have yet to be announced.

With the end of the year fast approaching, however, and just a handful of new releases left, it seems unlikely that any future 2015 title will dent the week one record held by the top 4.

Rainbow Six Siege and Just Cause 3 both launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC next Tuesday, December 1, with Xenoblade Chronicles X and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam arriving on Wii U and 3DS respectively later that same week.

But that’s it for major releases in 2015. Which game do you think will make it to Christmas No.1? Sound off in the comments below.
