Star Wars Battlefront’s multiplayer beta will be open to all players on PS4, Xbox One and PC when it goes live next month, EA has confirmed.

The beta will be available on all three formats in October, with an exact date set to be announced “as soon as [EA has] the final details locked in”.

The beta will include access to two of the game’s online multiplayer modes and maps – Walker Assault on Hoth and Drop Zone on Sullust – and a Survival Mission set on Tatooine in either online or local split-screen co-op. The mission can also be played solo if you fancy tackling it alone.

“Get ready for the beta release date and also make sure your system is ready to download the beta the moment it goes live,” community manager Mathew Everett wrote on the game’s website. “Keep your eyes peeled for myself and many other developers during the live beta as we have some cool stuff planned.”

Star Wars Battlefront releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 19. As usual, EA Access members will receive early access to the game ahead of launch.
