ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

The long-rumoured Spyro the Dragon remastered trilogy has leaked yet again for PlayStation 4, this time in a listing on the Mexican branch of Amazon under the slightly more imaginative title of  Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

According to the retail giant, the purple fire-breather’s first three games (that’s Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon) will hit Sony’s flagship telly box on September 21, priced at just under £30. There’s even some box art to gawk at, although it’s not exactly all that flattering.

This isn’t the first time that a Spyro remastered trilogy has leaked either, with Kotaku reporting back in February that the platforming compilation will be released on PS4 later in the year and then other formats in 2019. It’d be timely too, as 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the Spyro franchise.

Right now nothing is official, but with all these leaks it’s probably only a matter of time before we hear something from rumoured developer Toys for Bob (the same team responsible for porting Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy to Switch and Xbox One) and publisher Activision.
