Nintendo has announced Splatoon, a 4-v-4 multiplayer shooter coming to Wii U in 2015.
The game has players shooting ink all over the games map, allowing them to transform into squids to move faster through this ink. Enemy ink causes you to move much slower and are thus vulnerable.
Players aim using the GamePad’s gyro sensor, and can view the map on the screen, which will show the ink distribution between the two teams. You can also tap the touchscreen to snap to an ally’s position to help them out.
