The creative director on the PlayStation 4-exclusive Spider-Man game has admitted he’s keen to see the superhero and other Marvel properties make the transition to Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts franchise.
Speaking during a brisk Q&A session with Game Informer in light of the game’s release date announcement, Brian Intihar described it as his ‘dream’ to see the web-slinger turn up in the Disney-RPG franchise, and felt optimistic considering Pixar has recently been confirmed for Kingdom Hearts III.
‘That’d be awesome. They’ve got to start putting the Marvel worlds in there, right? They’ve added the Pixar stuff, right, so we need Star Wars, we need Marvel… That’d be awesome to have Sora dressed as Spider-Man! That’d be great. That’d be awesome,’ he beamed.Â
Spider-Man is due for release on Sony’s flagship console on September 7, and will be receiving both a Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition. Kingdom Hearts 3 meanwhile is pencilled in for a vague 2018 release on PS4 and Xbox One.
