Star Wars: Battlefront II was officially unveiled over the Easter weekend. One of the more notable things to come from the announcement was the news of a single-player campaign.
Walt Williams (Spec Ops: The Line) and Mitch Dyer (former IGN reporter and now at Jade Redmond’s EA Motive) are the writing duo behind the game’s story, Kotaku has reported.
Excited to finally reveal what @MitchyD and I have been working on for the last year. Can’t wait for you to meet Inferno Squad. #StarWars https://t.co/J4qJlWMmxH

Battlefront 2’s story begins after the Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad novel said to be out this July, and looks at Iden Versio’s efforts to off Saw Gerrera’s Partisans.
I secretly worried working on Star Wars would ruin it for me. Battlefront II, Lucasfilm, SWCO gave the opposite effect. Never more in love

Star Wars fans should be happy with this development as Williams’ work on the exceptional Spec Ops: The Line was lauded by critics, and Dyer’s excitement is clear to see.
Either way, you won’t have long to wait as Star Wars: Battlefront II is out November 17 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
