Following last week’s leak of what now turns out to be a partial trailer, the full release trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II is out.

The trailer focuses heavily on the single player campaign, which follows Iden Versio. Versio is the commander of Inferno Squad, an Imperial special forces unit who look totally badass and probably sit on the cool table at lunch time. Versio’s story is one of ‘revenge, betrayal, and redemption that spans 30 years.’ Versio is super upset that the Emperor is killed, but it may be that she eventually discovers the light side.

The Battlefront 2 website is also shouting about ‘expanded multiplayer’ without being too specific, and the addition of space combat. This is good because the aerial fights in Battlefront were great, and everyone wanted to do them in space.

The site and the trailer both confirm that ‘characters from every era’ will be available to play, specifically mentioning Darth Maul, Rey, Kylo Ren, and Yoda. Jar Jar Binks remains conspicuous by his absence.

A notable change is that you may now play offline in split-screen co-op, which is pretty cool.

We hope there’s a bit on Tatooine where someone goes ‘Now this is pod racing!’ or something. Just. If we’re doing the prequels. Might as well.
