Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has just received a brand-new update on all platforms. While Saber Interactive starts work on Space Marine 3, the studio is also continuing to support the current game with years of new updates.

In the update, Saber Interactive added a tonne of content including a new emote system, a new PvP map, a brand-new Operation, the Battle Barge Datavault, a terrifying new Biovore enemy and much, much more. However, an underrated patch note is the developer’s plans for stopping annoying trolls.

Space Marine 2 devs finally stop trolls

In the new Space Marine 2 6.0 patch notes, Saber confirmed that players will no longer be able to initiate a kick vote in the final stages of an Operation. Since launch, troll players have kicked players—including ourselves—just before the end of an Operation which sends players back to the Battle Barge with no rewards.

“Kick votes can no longer be launched in the final stages of an Operation,” reads a patch note hidden near the end of the list of awesome fixes.

Since September, this method of griefing has been an annoyingly popular way of screwing with other players, especially on PC. While it isn’t overly common now that the fanbase is more of a core audience, it still happened on occasion.

With years of support still planned for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive is keen to keep players happy. As the team works on a brand-new type of Horde Mode for the game and continues crafting brand-new Operations, there’s a tonne of new goodies in the works for players.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3 is still years away from release, but the upcoming game is pitched as a “bigger and better” take on the already massive second game. Hopefully, the third title will see an amazing take on the Necron armies teased in the ending of the second game… as well as another helping of Chaos Marines.
