Bandai Namco Games has announced that stylish swordmaster Raphael will be joining the ranks of SoulCalibur VI.

The French nobleman has been knocking around since SoulCalibur II, although interestingly hasn't really aged at all. As such, fans are pretty much convinced he's now a vampire, and it's not hard to argue with that assumption considering Raphael has been known to sink his teeth into his opponent's neck.

Regardless whether or not he's fond of the red stuff, Raphael still looks like he'll be handy in a scrap, wielding his signature rapier style in battle.

SoulCalibur VI is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 19. There's a lot riding on this latest instalment, with the game's producer revealing it may be the last SoulCalibur game if it doesn't prove successful.
