Sony has some “major PlayStation announcements” in store for this December’s PlayStation Experience, the platform holder has teased.

The event will take place in San Francisco on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, and will let fans go hands-on with “2015 and 2016’s biggest games”. Sony also says there’ll be “those patented PlayStation surprises you’ve come to expect”.

Sony used last year’s PlayStation Experience to unveil the first gameplay footage of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and announce David Jaffe’s latest project Drawn To Death. Capcom also announced that Street Fighter V would be a PS4 console-exclusive at the event.

PlayStation Experience 2015 is due to follow just five weeks after Paris Games Week, where Sony is expected to make some key announcements after skipping a press conference at this month’s Gamescom.

Tickets to PlayStation Experience are on sale now, with prices starting from $40. Attendees are “strongly recommended” to register their PSN ID when purchasing tickets for reasons that will “all make sense come December”.
