The 3DS version of a new Smash Bros. game will be shown at E3 alongside the confirmed appearance of the Wii U version, director Masahiro Sakurai has revealed on Twitter.

A few days ago during Nintendo Direct, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said that “screens” from Smash Bros. will be shown at E3 2012, but Sakurai suggests we may get to see the titles in motion.

“Wii U and 3DS versions – I would like to show you both,” reads a translated Tweet by Sakurai.

He added: “Other games have had visuals shown, but you still have to wait for Smash Bros. But we’ll be able to release something better.”
