The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim developer Bethesda Game Studios has poured cold water on hopes of seeing mod support come to the Nintendo Switch version of the fantasy-RPG.

Speaking with Eurogamer at Gamelab, game director Todd Howard (who rocked up at E3 wearing a badass leather jacket) confirmed that while Switch owners have been asking for more content such as Creation Club, it's not something that Bethesda is working on right now.

Quizzed if mods would be coming to Skyrim on Switch, Howard replied: 'We are not actively doing that. We would love to see it happen but it's not something we're actively doing.'

In his talk at Gamelab, Howard admitted that 'Skyrim Switch has a big community that we haven't supported the way we'd like.'

Howard is a busy chap at the moment, as his team is working on a number of projects including The Elder Scrolls Blades, Fallout 76, Starfield, and The Elder Scrolls VI.

He even knows the release date for Elder Scrolls VI, but is keeping mum.

Speaking of Stafield, Howard recently indicated that the game is still a long way off, and is being made with next-gen hardware in mind.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was originally released in 2011 and has gone on to sell over 30 million copies as of November 2016.
