Bethesda is jubilantly sounding its mod trumpet as The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim received its 10,000th mod on the Steam Workshop. Hurrah!

The milestone mod is a set of Weapons based on the Terry Brooks’ Shannara universe, which spans an impressive 23 books. The mod contains three weapons, the Sword of Shannara, Sword of Leah and the Stiehl. I imagine there’s some significance there for fans of the series.

In an interview with mod creator Joe Powell, Bethesda asked what he’d like to do for his next modding project. “I’d quite like to try and make a house so I’d definatly [sic] have to brush up on item placement as anyone who has used this mod can clearly see,” he said modestly.

And what would his dream modding project be? “I have always played as a Wood Elf and have always wanted to visit Valenwood, I know there is a Valenwood mod in progress but I’d love to give it a go myself.”

If you could make a Skyrim mod, what would it be? I’d make a 400 foot Skeever and have it go on rampages.
