The Skull and Bones closed beta start and end dates have now been announced by Ubisoft ahead of the much anticipated high seas saga’s launch window. Those looking forward to experiencing the pirate life it offers will soon be able to do so as the pre-release phase will apparently be taking place on August 25-28. This gives fans an entire three days to get a good grasp on the swashbuckling action that the game has in store.

With the Skull and Bones release date still yet to be specified by Ubisoft, those that have been looking forward to this particular entry will no doubt be eager to get hands-on with it after initially being announced in 2017. It is worth noting, though, that those residing in North and South America will seemingly be able to access the game at relatively earlier times as the closed beta is set to go live at 7pm PT / 10pm ET, whereas those in Europe and Oceania/Asia will be able to access it at 3am BST/4am CEST and 12pm AET respectively.

In addition, Ubisoft has also provided the pre-load times for the Skull and Bones closed beta period. According to the publisher’s official announcement, pre-load in the US will begin on August 22, 2023 at 3am PT/6am ET. UK and EU pre-load times will be on the same day at 11am BST/12pm CEST and Oceania/Asia’s will be at 8pm AET.

As always, you will need to keep in mind that this closed beta will be accessible via invitation only so we suggest signing up ahead of time. If you haven’t received one, you can also apparently get in if a friend that’s gained access sends you an invite to join. Unfortunately, once the pre-release phase has begun and you haven’t acquired an access code, then you may have to wait until the game’s actual release to experience it.
