The Silent Hill 2 Remake was one of the best games of 2024, let alone just the best horror game of the year. It was an incredible achievement from Bloober Team as it remained faithful to the original experience while also delivering several significant improvements. We can’t wait for Bloober Team’s next game to come out, and the Silent Hill 2 Remake developer has teased “something more” for the imminent reveal of their new Dead Space-esque horror game.
Silent Hill 2 devs tease “something more” for Cronos The New Dawn reveal
Bloober Team has confirmed their new horror game, Cronos The New Dawn, will be part of The Future Games Show. The livestream is scheduled for 1PM PDT/4PM EDT/8PM GMT on March 20th.
Although Cronos The New Dawn was announced in 2024 after the release of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, we’ve only seen a cinematic trailer. For the Future Games Show, Bloober Team has confirmed that we will see “gameplay snippets” for the very first time.
Bloober Team will also conduct an interview, and answer questions from the community. In addition, on X, the developers suggested there will be the “tease of sth more”.
We don’t know what this “something more” could be, but we’d advise keeping expectations low and strictly to Cronos The New Dawn. There are reports saying Bloober Team and Konami are teaming up for more Silent Hill remakes, but don’t expect an announcement during FGS.
As for Cronos New Dawn, the game looks absolutely terrifying. It is a sci-fi horror third-person shooter, which means it has naturally been compared to Dead Space. Whether it can live up to the lofty heights established by the original Dead Space, its sequel, and recent remake remains to be seen, but we’re extremely excited for anything Bloober Team thanks to how they handled Silent Hill 2.
