March has been a fantastic month for video game releases. There’s been the excellent Split Fiction, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows has now just come out. With March nearing its end, PS Plus subscribers are naturally looking forward to what’s on offer in April. There is a possible PS Plus April 2025 free game leak, meanwhile, Sony has already confirmed a day-one release some outlets regard as possibly GOTY worthy.
PS Plus April 2025 leak
A possible leak for PS Plus April 2025 is Wall.E. A Taiwan rating for this classic was previously leaked by Gematsu, and it was believed that the game would be part of Premium for March.
However, with the March Extra and Premium games now out, obviously this didn’t come to fruition. However, it appears Wall.E could be set to join Premium in April as its trophies have now leaked online.
In addition to revealing the trophies, the leak also suggests we are getting the PS2 version of the beloved Disney classic. This is fantastic news as Gematsu were previously unsure if we were getting the PS2 or PSP version, and the PS2 version should be the superior one.
Confirmed PS Plus April 2025 free games
One of the confirmed free games for PS Plus in April 2025 is Blue Prince. This is officially confirmed to be joining PS Plus Extra on April 10th as a day-one release, so it’s something entirely new the community should anticipate.
Blue Prince is a game held in such high regard that PC Gamer’s Christopher Livingstone called it their GOTY for 2024, and they only played a preview. The game is a very ambitious puzzle adventure game where you explore a mystery mansion full of shifting corridors and everchanging chambers, similar to H.H. Holmes’ infamous Murder Castle.
In addition to PC Gamer, former president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Shuhei Yoshida, has said Blue Price is “is going to be one of GOTY 2025 candidates”.
The other free game confirmed for PS Plus Extra in April 2025 is Tape 2 of Lost Records Bloom & Rage. This will join with the other Extra and Premium additions on April 15th, and Tape 1 is available to play right now.

The Essential games will depart on April 1st, meanwhile, all of the Extras will leave and be replaced on April 15th.
