Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 are due to appear in spruced-up HD form in Konami’s forthcoming compilation, but it now seems both games may also get a separate download release.

While the Silent Hill HD collection is now due for release on March 6, Joystiq has spotted that the two games have been individually re-submitted to PEGI – suggesting they’ll also be released alone too.

Obviously, Xbox LIVE and PSN seems like the most natural way this could happen.

Konami is on something of a retro revival spree at the moment. Next week will see the European release of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection; you can read what Martin thought of that here.
