Indie developer Fika Productions and publisher Team17 have announced a two-player co-op rougelite named Ship of Fools.

The game sees players take the role of the Fools in question, as they sail aboard the ship Stormstrider. They’re on a great voyage in the waters surrounding the Archipelago to plunder treasure and prevent the end of the world. As they go, they’ll have to contend with enemy encounters, looting items on the open sea and more.

Of course, the entire time the pair of Fools will have to work together, with you and your friend working together to steer the ship, weapons and more. On land, puzzles and obstacles will take both of you to overcome, and you’ll have to watch each other’s backs while fighting too. To help, you’ll also be able to add members to your crew as well as additional Fools to use on later runs. You’ll also be able to find and upgrade equipment too as you go about your adventure.

You can check out an announcement trailer for the game below. There’s no specific release date or formats outside of the PC just yet, but Ship of Fools will arrive on “PC and console” later in 2022.
