EA has revealed that Shift 2 Unleashed is to hit the UK for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on March 25. Europe will get it a day earlier on March 24, while US racing fans will need to wait until the 29th.
The announcement comes alongside a new trailer showcasing night time driving, with the in-game footage showing in-cockpit gameplay. The game will feature the heavily praised Autolog feature that was first seen in 2010’s Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
Shift was a highly competent entry in the sim racing genre and this sequel looks to build on that success. The in-cockpit camera is still its big selling point, which accurately models the movement of your driver’s head when racing at high speed. Autolog should add an extra competitive hook to the sequel, just as it did with last year’s Hot Pursuit.
