Sega has confirmed that arcade racer Out Run is coming to Nintendo Switch in early 2019 as part of its Sega Ages series.
Masterminded by Yu Suzuki, the legendary developer who worked on Hang-On, Virtua Fighter, and Shenmue among others, Out Run was originally released in arcades back in the late 1980s and became one of the best-selling games of its time.
To be fair, you probably don't need to be told about Out Run. Most of us have probably played it at some point, either in the arcades or via one of its many console ports. It's a classic, and holds up remarkably well even by today's standards due to the fact it's just, well, heaps of fun to play.
Out Run's Switch release was confirmed for Japan on Twitter, although the software giant later confirmed to Eurogamer that it will be getting a worldwide release.
Yesterday Sega confirmed that Phantasy Star will be hitting the Switch next month.
