Sega has staple-gunned a release date to the Nintendo Switch version of Phantasy Star, confirming the classic RPG will hit the US and Europe on December 13.
Phantasy Star will retail for £5.99 on the eShop, and this particular version is the Sega Ages edition, which means it has a bunch of additional features. For starters, the difficulty is reduced, and you're able to view every creature you've encountered by viewing the new Monster Codex.
Elsewhere, there's an items guide on offer that details all your equipment, while dungeon navigation is made easier through a new auto-mapping feature.
Phantasy Star first launched back in 1987 on the Sega Master System in Japan, and later turned up on the Mega Drive in 1994. The game is widely considered one of the most influential console RPGs of all time, and rightly so.
