Sony’s Wonderbook, an interactive storybook which has entertainment and educational uses, was announced back at E3, but the technology is actually four years in the making. See how Sony and its London Studio went from idea to reality in a series of “making of” diaries.

The first diary focuses on the core technology that helped to form the foundation of Wonderbook.

Wonderbook: Book of Spells – the first release to utilise Wonderbook – is a collaboration with J.K. Rowling, and sees players learning to Incendio, Wingardium Leviosa and Expelliarmus, with their very own spell book and wand.

Wonderbook: Book of Spells will be available in three offerings:

The Wonderbook: Book of Spells Move Bundle includes everything you need to start practising spells on your PS3 system:

  • Book of Spells game
  • Wonderbook peripheral
  • PlayStation Eye camera
  • PlayStation Move motion controller

If you already have a PlayStation Eye camera and PlayStation Move motion controller you’ll want the Wonderbook: Book of Spells standalone:

  • Book of Spells game
  • Wonderbook peripheral

If you are new to PlayStation, the full console bundle will also be available at launch.
