RTX 4060 Ti release time speculation – when could it launch?

Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti is coming on May 24th, but what time could it launch?

We’ve finally had confirmation on the RTX 4060 Ti specs and how much it’s going to cost. In fact, we’re so close to the release date that we’ve already seen listings for the GPU appear. Fear not though, we’ve covered where to buy the RTX 4060 Ti all in one place. The missing piece of the puzzle is the exact release time, which Nvidia has been silent on.

The lack of news on the release time isn’t that unusual, and luckily for you, we reckon we can make a pretty accurate guess based on previous launches. Having covered much of the Nvidia 40-series which kicked off in October with the RTX 4090, we’re expecting Nvidia to stick to their fairly predictable release pattern.

RTX 4060 Ti release time prediction

Like we saw with the RTX 4070 release time, we’re expecting a similar story for the RTX 4060 Ti. Back in April, we saw the RTX 4070 release at the following times:

— 2PM GMT / 3PM CET / 6:30PM IST / 9AM ET / 8AM CT / 6AM PT

This has generally been the pattern for all recent releases of Nvidia GPUs, and it’s also been followed by AMD and Intel’s CPUs too. In fact, we successfully predicted the launch time of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D this way too.

The time is roughly based on the start of the working time in the US (9am Eastern Time) which equated to 2pm GMT if you’re in the UK.

While we’re hoping Nvidia sticks to this pattern, they might decide to do something completely different for this launch. That being said, we’ve seen no signs that Nvidia would try anything wildly different for this launch. It’s also worth checking whether there are RTX 4060 Ti pre-orders ahead of the launch time. Though pre-orders aren’t usually announced, and can sometimes last just minutes before the official launch, they can be useful to get ahead of the game.
