The expansion, titled ‘Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion’ sees the Romans fending off Barbarian warriors, while trying to keep their empire from collapsing. According to the magazine you will be able to choose your side, with the Barbarian tribes including the Huns, the Saxons and the Vandals – each offering slightly different strategies for the player.
Expect even more accurately modeled weapons to use against your enemy, backed up by the same excellent combat AI that the series is known for. The expansion is currently without an announced release date, but we expect the game to be shown at E3 where more details are bound to be revealed.
