Beaterator for the PSP is described as a powerful music mixer with robust beatmaking features. The title will also include a collection of original music and rhythm games and challenge modes.

The game is in development at Rockstar Leeds in partnership with super-producer Timbaland.

Having Timbaland involved in the game is a real honour and only adds to our excitement about the title,” said Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games.

Timbaland, who some of you might know as the guy featuring in Nelly Furtado’s recent singles, is understandably excited by the project.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Rockstar and love playing their games,” said Timbaland. “I’m thrilled to be partnering with them and making music for Beaterator. I cannot wait to get this in the hands of our fans!

The game is schedule for release on PSP in the summer and you can check out an online version of the music making tool over on the Rockstar website.
