The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 has been delayed to 2015 “to ensure that it is as amazing and polished as possible,” Rockstar has explained.
In an update on Rockstar Newswire, the developer said that it was “glad to see so many of you are excited for the upcoming release of the new versions of GTAV and we look forward to sharing more details with you soon.
“We are also incredibly excited to be bringing GTAV to the PC, but the game requires a little more development time in order to ensure that it is as amazing and polished as possible,” it continued. “Please do stay tuned as we reveal new features and information about all the new versions in the weeks ahead.”
Rockstar announced last week that the PC version of GTA 5 had been delayed to January 27, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions due to go on sale on November 18.
All three versions will contain new activities, weapons, vehicles and wildlife, along with a host of graphical enhancements, including improved lighting, damage and weather effects.
Over 100 new songs and DJ mixes are due to feature, too. To see how the next-gen version differs from the PS3 release, head through here for some early comparison screens.
