Psyonix has announced details of a forthcoming Neon Nights event in Rocket League, featuring a collaboration with musical artist Grimes.

Proceedings kick off on Wednesday, January 26 at about 5pm UK time with a set of specially themed challenges. There’ll also be plenty of Grimes-flavoured cosmetics to unlock through them, including Gravitator and Space Queen Toppers. There’s also a Braided Trail, Grimes decals, wheels and player banners, Multichrome Fireworks, a Universal decal and a Uncanny Boost.

Of course, with Grimes involved there’s new music too, so you’ll also get the chance to unlock two new Player Anthems. These include two cuts from the artist’s latest upcoming album Book 1, namely Player of Games and Shinigami Eyes.

Over in Rocket Labs Arenas you can also find a new limited time mode in the form of Heatseeker Ricochet. During the event, you’ll also get to earn Golden Moons to unlock some classic items. You’ll be able to repeat these challenges five times. Finally, the shop is going to offer a Year of the Tiger free bundle to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

You can check the full details of the Neon Nights event in Rocket League on the game’s official blog post. The event runs from January 26 until February 8. Rocket League previously held a music themed event to kick off season two.
