Rock Band 4 will cost £20 more on Xbox One compared to PS4 because of the requirement for an additional adapter to support older peripherals.

The adapter will be included as standard in all standalone copies of the Xbox One version of the game, according to MCV. Harmonix has confirmed that, thanks to the inclusion of the adaptor, the Xbox One version will retail at $80/£70, compared to the PS4’s $60/£50 RRP.

Harmonix also released a full compatibility chart for older peripherals on its official forums.

Rock Band 4 launches on October 6 on PS4 and Xbox One.
