Ravenscourt and DigixArt have announced that road-trip adventure Road 96 will arrive on PlayStation and Xbox in April.

The game originally launched on PC last August, and is set in the Summer of 1996. You’re trying to hitchhike your way across the country of Petria to the border, to escape an oppressive regime. Along the way, you’ll meet a host of characters, each with their own stories that intertwine with each other. You’ll have to make decisions that will change the course of your journey as you go.

Inspirations for the story include the works of Quentin Tarantino, The Coen Brothers and Bong Joon-ho. Some of the developers of this project previously worked on WW1 adventures Valiant Hearts: The Great War in 2014 and 11-11 Memories Retold four years later.

You can expect a “stunning visual style” and a soundtrack full of 90’s hits for that authentic nostalgia vibe. We’re also promised a multitude of possible endings, choices and paths so there’s plenty of replay value too.

There’s no specific release date for Road 96 just yet, outside of that April window. But when it does, you can expect it on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. You can check out the game’s original PC trailer for yourself down below.
