Contact is a Nintendo DS RPG from Gouichi Suda, the director of the quite disturbing Killer 7. The game sees a professor crash-land on a planet, and, with the help of a boy called Cherry, he must recover the pieces of his spaceship’s power source to continue his mission.

The game features real-time updating of stats and abilities, and a unique visual style on each screen. One screen shows the lush environment, while the other uses a pixel-art look to display the professor, his lab and his alien pet.

Martin DeFries, COO, Rising Star Games enthuses: “Contact is a real step forward for the genre. Conceptually, it’s on a different level to anything else on the DS and is truly the gem we hold in our 2006 portfolio.”

Contact is due for release exclusively for the Nintendo DS in the autumn.
