Rez Infinite will release digitally alongside PlayStation VR on October 13, Enhance Games has announced. The game will be playable both with a PSVR headset and without, on a standard PS4.

The game joins a growing list of PS VR launch titles, alongside Rebellion tank shooter Battlezone VR, Harmonix’s next game Harmonix Music VR, multiplayer shooter RIGS, plus PlayStation VR Worlds, Tumble VR and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.

A price for the game has yet to be confirmed.

Rez Infinite is a rhythm action game described by its creator as a “futuristic ‘synesthesia’ experience”, and is essentially a remake of the 2002 Dreamcast original. The new game will support 1080p/60fps and “full 3D audio”, and is supposedly the game that “comes closest” to Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s vision for the original.
