Returnal has finally received a release date on PC systems after it was previously shown during The Game Awards 2022. The multi-award winning space-based shoot-’em-up title received rave reviews – including here at VideoGamer – during its initial release for the PlayStation 5 in 2021.

During the event, a trailer for the upcoming PC port had initially been exhibited, which showed plenty of what made the game widely acclaimed. The last scene of the sneak peek shows the main protagonist gasping for breath before it vanishes to be replaced by the previously unknown release date. Now, however, Housemarque and Sony have finally revealed when the game is going to be launched.
When is the release date of Returnal on PC?
Returnal will be released for the PC on February 15, 2023 according to an official announcement from Sony and Housemarque. The blog post listed some of its upcoming features as well as the system requirements needed to run it.
Though the PC launch of Returnal had only previously been announced during The Game Awards, plenty of speculation had already been made in the months preceding it. Numerous leaks circulated all throughout social media even before last year’s video game celebration.
A trailer for the upcoming title has also been made available and plenty of players are excited for its arrival. One user said this about the game mechanics: “this game has some of the most flawless combat I’ve ever experienced.” Another commenter stated the following: “my personal GOTY in 2021…amazing game.”
