Titanfall developer Respawn has revealed that it’s been working with Microsoft to improve the Xbox One’s analogue stick sensitivity.

Design lead Justin Hendry told The Verge: “It’s just fixing the controller input, really. It wasn’t really where we felt it should be; it was a little overly twitchy with the current controls. Now it’s fixed. We’re happy with it.”

And this fix will be rolled out imminently. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that the controller update will be part of the February system update – due this week – and will “increase the sensitivity of the outer boundaries of the thumbsticks on the Xbox One controller”.

The Verge was also told that Respawn has been working with Microsoft on an improved scaler for the Xbox One, presumably to remedy the criticism aimed at the console’s ability to upscale 720p visuals to 1080p. It’s not clear if the improvements will apply only to Titanfall or to all Xbox One games.
